Take the bite impression for your custom mouthguard

You have just received your custom-made mouthguard and you still need to mold the bite impression to finalize its stability.

Please follow these steps carefully:

1. Preparation

You will need your custom-made mouthguard, a bowl of boiling water, and a stopwatch.

2. Hot water

Hold your mouthguard by one edge

Only allow the bite surface to touch the hot water.

Start your stopwatch for 40 seconds.

Change hands if the hot water vapor is too bothersome for you.

3. In your mouth

Insert your mouthguard into your mouth.

Bite down firmly in your usual position for 20 seconds.

4. Cold water

Remove your mouthguard and run it under cold water.

To improve retention, you can gently pinch the bottom of the mouthguard near the molars while running it under cold water.
